Snow Time

Sun, sky, and the world’s most gorgeous snowboarding instructor. What’s not to like?

When Kate Hensley’s husband Lawrence surprises her with the news that not only are they off to spend a child-free day at Coronet Peak, Queenstown’s premier ski resort, but he’s also arranged her first snowboarding lesson, she should be thrilled. So why does she feel like something is off? As her day on the slopes progresses, a little romantic fantasy proves a welcome distraction, but it can’t disguise the nagging feeling that there’s more to Lawrence’s gesture than meets the eye…

An absorbing tale of sensibility, scruples, and snow sports, Snow Time is the fifth instalment in a series of surprising and darkly humorous short stories. While sharing a linked universe, each story in the saga stands alone and they can be read in any order. If you like relatable characters, amusing dialogue, and action spiced with both comedy and drama, then you’ll love J.B. Reynolds’s Crossing the Divide short story series.
